A Special Request
Juror Feedback
As part of a new approach at EAA we now share the Juror feedback with all of our members. The President's Art Forum circulated yesterday will again share that feedback from Juror Peggy Leeg so we can all benefit from our Juror's insights and continually expand our horizons. Remember curiosity feeds a flourishing life. Look for our November show awardees and feedback in the President's Art Forum newsletter sent yesterday.
A note from our President: Volunteer - it's in our EAA DNA
EAA is an entirely volunteer led and staffed organization. Every one is a volunteer, even your serving president which I will share with you is currently a full time and a half volunteer role on a weekly basis - 60+ hours....anyone interested in this job!? Our gallery is staffed by volunteer docents. Volunteering has to be the root culture of our organization, our DNA. It's not an option. If you are not volunteering in some role then you are not fulfilling your obligation as a member and your obligation to those of your colleague Artists who are volunteering. If your artwork is any one of the 200+ artworks we are currently displaying throughout Escondido in multiple galleries and locations and you haven't volunteered this month then you are not fulfilling your part of our membership obligation. So please go on line to our web site and sign up for a volunteer slot. It's easy to sign up and easy to fulfill.

Our Mission is our Membership
The Escondido Art Association is dedicated to promoting fine arts in our community. The EAA Gallery on Grand Avenue in Historic Escondido provides an outlet for members and other local artists to display their work. Our Gallery is staffed entirely by volunteers. As a 501(c)3 charitable organization, we're active in the community of Escondido and beyond: hosting social art demonstrations by professional artists, offering monthly Open exhibitions, rewarding scholarships, College internships, and showcasing artwork in downtown businesses through our Rotations Program.
Anyone with an interest in the visual arts or the desire to support the EAA is welcome as a member!
